We were lucky enough to catch bar italia opening a stacked line up of Moin and Coby Sey at London's Pitchfork Festival last year. Having released early material via Dean Blunt's enigmatic label World Music, the buzzy alt-rock trio have now, unsurprisingly, been snapped up by the esteemed ears at Matador Records. 'Nurse!' is their first outing since signing their new deal, marking an exciting new chapter for the outfit, which consists of artists in their own rights, Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton. Set over tastefully driven guitars, which appear to interact telepathically, metallic beats add a taste of trip-hop to the idiosyncratic trio's wiry signature sound. Taking turns on lead vocal duties, bar italia's collaborative nature is palpable and effective in creating something truly special.
